I'm deciding between two internships for the fall. What are some of the most important factors to consider when choosing between internships?

Think about how much the internship will help you in your future career. What are the type of tasks you are expected to perform daily? Are you going to work with higher-ups/more experienced employees are new interns just like yourself? Also, just as you would compare part-time jobs by looking at their pay and benefits, compare the two internships financially. If you need to keep yourself financially afloat and need to ditch your paying part-time job for the internship, consider going for the internship that is paid/has higher pay or at least better benefits.
The most important factor to consider when choosing between internships is how much hands-on experience you will receive. Even if one company is more well-known than another, you may be better off picking the lesser-known if it means you will be given more responsibility. In the end you will learn more and have more to talk about at interviews and in your resume. Try to pick the one is closest to what you think you want to do in life so that you can decide if it is or is not for you.
First you should decide which internship is most relative to what you want to do later in life. Second, you should ask about the time commitments of each internship. Third, you should talk to and meet who you would be working with to see if you vibe with them. Fourth, ask about payment/class credit compensation. Fifth, use your gut and think about where you will be happiest.
